A study trip to Zhuhai, Hengqin and Shunde on 18-19 May 2018

A study trip was organised for MSc students during 18-19^th of May.  The programme of the study consists of logistics as well as hi-tech and innovative facilities in Zhuhai, Hengqin and Shunde in Mainland China.  The trip was led by the IMSE staff, Dr. S.H. Choi and Dr. L.K. Chu.  The two-day programme includes visits to the HK-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Tech Bay at the Zhuhai Hi-Tech Zone (珠海高新區港湾1号科创园), Galaxy Innovate the World (星河領創天下眾創空間), Zhuhai Orbita Aerospace Science & Technology Co. Ltd (珠海欧比特宇航科技股份有限公司), Zhuhai Yunzhou Intelligence Technology Ltd.  (珠海云洲智能科技有限公司), InnoValley of Hengqin (橫琴澳門青年創業谷), Zhuahai Hengqin Bringbuys IT Co. Ltd. (橫琴跨境說網絡科技有限公司), Hengqin Development Limited Liability Co. (橫琴發展有限責任公司), and Zhuhai International Container Terminals Co. Ltd. at Honwan (洪灣).  Also, during the stay in Hengqin, the visitors were shown the exciting developments of Hengqin at the exhibition hall. 

Then, the party left Zhuhai Hengqin for Shunde to visit the Idea Industrial Park (順德創意產業園) and e-Cube Park (匯創方智造園).  They were shown some of innovative product designs and technologies in these new technology and incubation centres. 

The Department is most grateful to those who have provided such a valuable learning experience to the students.  These include the government officials of Zhuhai, Zhuhai Hengqin and Shunde and the organisations which received the IMSE party during the tour.  Great thanks are also given to Mr. Kelvin Law, who enthusiastically arranged the visits and led the IMSE participants during the tour.
