Introduction   HKU Industrial Engineering Association, HKUIEA, was first founded in 1975. It was affiliated to Hong Kong University Students' Union in 2013 and renamed as Industrial Engineering Association, Engineering Society, Hong Kong University Students' Union. When it was first founded, it aimed at organizing activities for fellow IE students and promoted the discipline of Industrial Engineering to the public. Over the past 35 years, the association plays a significant role as a platform for members. It provides a variety of welfare for the students of the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering. Activities related to academic, recreational, social, etc. are organized. Our association currently has members more than 2,000. Large portion of them are alumni. Such a wide alumni network is very unique among other engineering disciplines.

• To encourage good relationships between students, graduates and staff of the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering (IMSE).

• To maintain relationships with Department of IMSE of similar interests in other education institutions.

• To further the interests of the members.

• To promote the art and science of Industrial Engineering to the public.
