The Department of IMSE and the IEPGA held a study trip to Zhuhai and HengQin free trade zone (FTZ), led by Dr. L.K. Chu, Dr. J.W. Wang, and Mr. Kelvin Law, the executive director of the HengQin FTZ (Hong Kong) representative office, on 23-24 May 2016.
This study trip, with a duration of two days and one night, aimed at bringing our MSc and research students together with stakeholders, business operations and companies in the HengQin free trade zone(FTZ) and Zhuhai. The trip comprised company visits, meetings with key officials in the HengQin FTZ, Zhuhai customs, industrial parks and Innovalley and the sharing from the representatives of Meizu mobile phone manufacturer, China Public Diplomacy Association and the infrastructures by Lai Sun Group. This study trip enabled our students to have better understanding of the logistic knowledge in real business settings and to get to know the new development of HengQin FTZ and Zhuhai area.
