The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong (CILTHK) Student Day was held in HKUST on 19 March, 2016. The aim of the competition is, through the presentation of a logistics or transport related topic, to demonstrate participated students their understanding, knowledge, argument, analytical skill, logical thinking as well as communication capability.  It took the form of case study competition on topics of logistics and transportation and students had to formulate solutions to tackle the problems under a tight time constraint.  There were 9 participating teams from Hong Kong and Macau tertiary institutions.

The IMSE team consisting of TANG Ho Yan, LEE Chun Kit (Team Leader), LO Ching On and LAI Hong Ting, won the championship.  Their discussion topic is on whether law enforcement by Mainland officials should be allowed in the cross-border rail link (XRL) of the West Kowloon Terminus.  They deliberated on the viewpoint of the Secretary for Justice and proposed several options of immigration arrangements in the XRL.
